In an era of complex fiscal challenges, the intersection of academic research and practical
decision-making in public finance is more crucial than ever. We seek proposals that examine these and
other policy issues at the national and subnational levels in domestic and international contexts
utilizing a variety of empirical methods. We are particularly interested in papers that provide
practical insights for state and local government officers on addressing their current budgeting
