Survey topics, questions, and respondents are determined by the ABFM Expert Survey Committee. Respondents are selected on the basis of their subject matter expertise. Each respondent is asked to rate their level of agreement with each of the survey’s statements and rate their confidence level with their answer. They are also invited to write comments on each question. All responses and comments are shared publicly. The survey’s methodology was inspired in part by the Clark Center for Global Markets.
