The Journal of Public Finance and Management (PFM) invites scholars and practitioners to submit articles on the theory and practice of budgeting mechanisms and behaviors. Centering around resource allocation, budgeting is an arena where different institutions, rules, mechanisms, behaviors, and practices interact. Budgeting research is a pillar in the field of public budgeting and finance. However, the number of academic research articles on the mechanisms and behaviors of public budgeting has been quite small in recent years. In this spirit, PFM seeks scholarly contributions in this line of research.
The research manuscripts should be submitted by July 1, 2024, and comply with PFM’s submission guidelines.
